Pamela is designed with patient privacy and clinical data security at its core. On this page, you’ll see exactly how our technology protects sensitive information: what it does, what it doesn’t do, and why you can trust Pamela to keep every consultation secure.
The basics
Pamela is an AI assistant for healthcare professionals. She combines ambient listening with real-time clinician input to create personalized clinical notes — not generic transcripts.
Pamela doesn't sit in your consultation as a visible bot or AI observer. She listens via ambient audio and enhances what you write in real-time, adapting to your personal style, specialty, and preferred terminology.
Pamela works across consultation formats — in-person, video, or hybrid — and supports 50+ languages. She runs quietly alongside your workflow, generating structured clinical documentation without disrupting the patient interaction.
Model training
Pamela does not share your data with third-party AI providers for the purpose of model training.
Audio & data storage
Pamela processes and stores audio recordings securely to support transcription and note enhancement. Audio is encrypted and stored on EU-based infrastructure with strict access controls.
Your enhanced clinical notes, transcripts, and consultation metadata are saved to your account. Patient identifiers are pseudonymized — Pamela works with identifiers from your EHR system and does not generate or store direct patient contact details.
Full control over your content
Your notes are private by default. Nothing is shared unless you choose to share it.
You can edit or delete individual notes, transcripts, and audio recordings at any time. You can also request permanent deletion of your entire account and all associated data — in line with your GDPR rights.
Secure by design
All data is hosted exclusively on EU-based infrastructure with no data transfers outside the EU. Pamela is compliant with ISO 27001 and NEN 7510 — the Dutch healthcare information security standard required for processing patient data — and fully GDPR-compliant.
Data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS). Access is governed through role-based permissions with full audit logging. All personnel with data access undergo background screening, including VOG (Certificate of Good Conduct) verification.
Pamela is built with privacy by design and data minimization at its core — because security in healthcare isn't optional.
